Three Little Pumpkins
ripen in the sun
to be picked, then poked around the mid of autumn
Round little pumpkins
growing orange in the patch
vine supplies the lifeline from which the pumpkins latch
Mouse and hare
cat and crow
endure and survive as three pumpkins grow
and mature towards date
where they transform
as chalk to slate, or earth from storm
To determine fate
or to wither and pass
either is choice, to choose - then convince en masse
the pumpkins grow
and with world's change in sight
